May be towed by road vehicles from 1.5 Tonne towing capacity upwards or tractors.

For sweeping operation, this broom may be towed by a variety of road vehicles with a towing facility. Tow hitch is adjustable to suit a range of towbar heights for utilities, trucks and tractors. Tow adaptors to suit ball, pintle hook and ring feeder are available.

Remote control operated raising, lowering and angling of brush. Camber adjustment at tow hitch.

Rubber torsion independent suspension allows trailer broom to be towed at highway speeds.

Close coupled hydraulic pump and direct coupled hydraulic wheel motor (no chains, shaft or gear drive) eliminate high maintenance components.

Trailer brooms are readily towed from site to site resulting in substantial cost and time savings for relocation by eliminating road transport. Road clean ups after collisions are carried out quickly and effortlessly.

Low Maintenance - Proven Performance

Stanbar Three Point Linkage brooms are fully hydraulic with direct coupled hydraulic drive. The brush carrier (axle) is direct “Quick Coupled” to the hydraulic wheel motor thereby eliminating high maintenance gearboxes, driveshafts, chains and sprockets and ALLOWING QUICK and SIMPLE BRUSH REPLACEMENT.

The brooms feature nylon bushed hinged frame design that prevents weight of the tractor transferring to the broom when tractor bounce occurs. The single trailing swivel wheel grades the brush to the work, eliminating skipping of aggregate experienced with rigid frame brooms. The trailing wheel swivels 360° on taper roller bearings. The trailing wheel stub axle also has taper roller bearing and is fully roadable.

SE6 and SE4 Models also feature an hydraulic oil “Flow Control Valve” to allow brush speed selection to suit particular phases of sweeping work and compensates for brush wear speed reduction.

Brushes

Road Brooms

Industrial

Customised spiral and strip brushes for conveyors and general industry.

Strip Brush is made to order so that virtually the full range of material options are available.

Strip Brush is made by filling a metal channel continuously with fibres as required. A centre retaining wire locks the fibres when the channel is closed.

Spiral - Filament Diameter and Length of Trim and Pitch determine the operating characteristics of the brush. If the brush is required to clear away loose material, an open pitch is advantageous. If the material does not brush off easily, stiffer brushing is called for either by shorter trim length (which stiffens the brush exponentially), thicker filament or closer pitch, right up to the close wound, the choice being indicated by the material and the process.

Loose Coil brush spirals are available for customers to fix on site with variable needs to brush length, eg, fruit rollers, food processing units, etc.
